Established in 2005, Dancepointe Academy; Singapore Premier Dance Academy, has been providing invaluable dance education for dancers as young as 3 years old, through to professional levels such as Teachers and Company Dancers. It started as a single brand Dancepointe, and later on in 2013, Dancepointe Academy was evolved as an umbrella to rebrand other dance genres into various faculties such as 5th Avenue School of Jazz & Street Dance, Dance Factory School of Kpop Dance and dACADEMY School of Contemporary Dance. Over the years, Dancepointe has grown to become one of the best ballet schools in Singapore.
Under the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Commonwealth Society of Teachers’ Dancing (CSTD) syllabi, Dancepointe offers comprehensive Classical Ballet classes in Singapore through a progressive curriculum designed for children of 3 years old through to Professional levels such as Performer and Teaching Career. We also bring in other dance certifications such as the CSTD (Commonwealth), ATOD (Australia) & RSL (U.K) for our Jazz , Hip Hop and Contemporary courses, now under our other brand names 5th Avenue, Dance Factory and dACADEMY.
Dancepointe Academy has 15 state-of-the-art schools serving the Alexandra, Bishan, Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Jurong, Pasir Ris, Punggol, Seng Kang, Sembawang, Buangkok, Seletar.Yio Chu Kang, Tampines & Yishun residents. Our original home is founded in the Taman Jurong Community Centre. Designed and conceptualised by our Founder & Artistic Director, Ms Lena Foo, all our studios are equipped with safe sprung floors and Harlequin dance mats to provide a safe learning environment.

With strong foundation and versatile in different dances, many of our students found their way to the elite dance group in Schools such as The School of The Arts, NAFA, Lasalle, Singapore Chinese Girls School, Crescent Girls Secondary School, Nanyang Girl’s High and River Valley High through the Direct School Admission scheme (DSA) in MOE.
Our students were also accepted to overseas universities for Degree in Dance Education such as Rhoehampton University, Central Ballet School and Falmouth University.

With the support of IE Singapore, Dancepointe had entered into overseas market, Shenyang, Liaoning Province of China in late October 2013, with 7 other Singapore enrichment schools. We form the first 8 Singapore Enrichment Schools in the Liaoning Province. Dancepointe with other 4 other enrichment schools (Cristofori Music, Leap School House, Genius R Us, Climb Asia) came together to form the group called: The Kidz Education City (KEC) and established our presence of 10.000 sqft in the Star Mall.
Being the first foreign dance school offering Royal Academy of Dance (UK) in Shenyang, Dancepointe has captured significant children who are potential in dancing or are already with dance background. 2015 will be the first year for the RAD examinations in Shenyang.

The Brand Name for Our K Pop Performing Dance Academy
Born as a brand name for our K Pop Performing Dance Academy, Dance Factory™ shares the vision of Dancepointe Academy, reaching out to anyone who has the interest and passion for dance and wants dance to be part of their lives! As the name suggests, we are a human factory aspired to produce dancers from people of all ages and with totally zero dance background, and also to develop existing dancers into even greater dancers by offering our students lots of exposure including overseas ones, and performance opportunities during our concerts and public showcases! The power that runs this factory is the people dynamics. We believe in family warmth and burning passion for dance among our students.
Dance Factory provides various types of K-Pop Dance such as K-Pop Urban, K-Pop Jazzfunk, K-Pop Lyrical, K-Pop Street and K-Pop Waacking.
Another aim of ours is to groom our potential students to become future dance instructors. Through the Elites program, potential students will undergo an all-rounded training program which also provides them opportunities to perform and to represent the school in various competitions and social events.
Dance Factory Crew were involved in the filming of a Mandarin Drama production “Double Happiness” which was screened in 2011.
This is one of the many opportunities that we offer to our students as we believe in continuous growth and progress through exposures. Besides shows, our students also perform in concerts and take part in competitions.

dACADEMY™ Singapore, school of contemporary dance with the vision of promoting and developing contemporary dance to the future generations, and creating a cohesive and sustainable progressive training in contemporary dance. It is a member of Dancepointe Education Group, with the shared vision of ” Education through Dance” . The school is under the Artistic direction of Mr Dan Kwoh, a veteran dance educator in the Singapore dance scene. He is also the recipient of the NAC Arts Scholarship.
To attain a sustainable progressive education and training, dACADEMY™ will offer several levels of contemporary dance in progression. These levels aim to provide a bridged and easily understood syllabus of contemporary dance. Other than these progressive levels, dACADEMY™ will also offer scholarships to outstanding students. dACADEMY™ not only serves to educate and train individuals in technique, but also in performance.
A brand new and dynamic faculty under Dancepointe Academy – 5th Avenue™ School of Jazz and Street Dance! We are pleased to engage Mr Kim Dong Hyoung aka DK from Seoul, as the Artistic Principal of 5th Avenue Dance. DK graduated from Sejong University with a Bachelor Degree in Dance. He had performed and taught extensively in various countries and he visions to bring Street Dance into the dance education system with Dancepointe Academy.
DK and his team of choreographers will specialise in courses such as TeachersAVE training, UrbanjazzAVE, JazzfunkAVE, HipHopAVE, LyricalJazzAVE and LyricalHiphopAVE for both children and adults.
The students will be given opportunities in performances, MV shoots, competitions as well as assessments under international recognised certifications and examinations under the CSTD (Australia) and Rock School London (PAA).
