Biography
Ms Goh Jia Hui started ballet at the age of 5, and was under Ms Lena Foo’s guidance for the past 13 years. In Dancepointe, opportunities have been given to expose herself to various types of dance, such as jazz and contemporary. In addition, she competed in CSTD (Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing) both internationally and locally. Her highest achievement in the RAD Syllabi is at Advanced 1, and Jazz certification in ATOD syllabi at Gold Medal.
At the tender age of 13, Jia Hui first travelled to London with her fellow dance mates and teachers for the exchange programs at Central Ballet School. It was definitely an eye opener for her to learn various dance genres such as Contemporary, Jazz and Funk. In 2012, she represented Dancepointe and competed in Perth CSTD (Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing) competition. They won First Position in the Contemporary troupe item. In 2015, being part of the Dancepointe Senior Apprentice Competition Team, they competed and conquered Barcelona and emerged as champions for the Grand Prix Europe 2015.
Being an outstanding dancer, she was offered the Dancepointe Apprentice Teaching Programme since 2015. Apprentice Teaching has sparked her interest further in dance education. Jia Hui has been assist- teaching the Pre school and Pre Primary students and the Jazz kids since then.
