Training Programmes for Dance Teachers

Dancepointe Academy provides yearly fundings for professional teachers development courses which are important for the better teaching and providing the best dance education to our students.

Yearly our RAD teachers are sponsored for the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD, UK) courses such as the introduction of new RAD syllabi from Pre Primary, Primary, Grade 1-5, as well as the Intermediate and Advanced levels. They are also exposed to CSTD Contemporary courses and the ATOD Jazz Moves. These training exposed them to various styles of dance and making them versatile teachers. Our teachers are also sponsored for our Overseas Exchange Programme to countries such as Hong Kong , Perth, Sydney , Melbourne , London and New York.

Dancepointe Academy also provides Teaching Apprentice Programme for trainee teachers who want to pursue their career in teaching. A two-year assistant teaching hours are required as part of this programme. For ballet teaching, it will be followed by enrolling into the RAD CBTS (Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies) where they would study the RAD 6 modules before attaining a RAD Registered Teacher’s Status.

Selected Dancepointe Apprentice Teachers would be given Mentorship by the Dancepointe Academy, and outstanding ones would be offered the Dancepointe CBTS Scholarship.

The above structure are also planned for the Contemporary and Jazz Teachers for the CSTD and ATOD Teaching Programme as well the Dance Factory Hip Hop Crew Training.
