Biography
Ms Annies Tan started learning ballet at the age of seven. She has completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Grade 1-8 with distinctions and is currently pursuing her Vocational Advanced Level exams.
She is exposed to Chinese Dance and Contemporary Dance training during her schooling years, with opportunities to participate in various concert performances and competed in Singapore Youth Festivals (SYF). She has also performed in several national events such as the National Day Parade 2007, Chingay Parade 2009, and Youth Olympic Games Ceremony 2010. With keen interest in choreography, she was given the chance to choreograph for dance showcase involving live pianist accompaniment and students from other academic schools.
Recently, she participated in the 2020 Get The Beat Online Dance Competition and attained 1st in Ballet Trios Category.
Upon completing her RAD Graded ballet exams, she was selected as a demonstrator for her juniors to follow and coached them in preparation for their RAD exams. She has since prepared students for dance auditions successfully and garnered placings in dance competitions.
With teaching opportunities offered by Ms Lena Foo, Annies hopes to share her passion in dance by enriching dancers with good foundation and appreciation for the arts, inspiring them to be confident and motivated individuals.
