Biography

Ms Ashley Tan started her dance training at the age of four. With a strong passion in ballet, she completed her Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Graded Syllabus Examinations from Primary to Grade 8 scoring straight Distinctions. She had also completed the higher Vocational Graded – RAD Advance Foundation and currently pursuing Advanced 1.

Dancing has always been her passion since young. This led her to explore different genres such as jazz, and modern dance. Being actively involved in various arts festivals, Ashley got the opportunity to perform on major stages both internationally and locally. She has also performed professionally and commercially for different occasions. A few examples are: NDP 2014 and 2015, Sing 50 as well as Asian Para Games 2015.

Besides performing, Ashley also enjoys teaching. Her interest and passion for teaching grew when she was given the opportunity to teach. She assisted in two Primary School dance CCA that participated in Singapore Youth Festival 2016 both scoring distinctions, co-choreographed for ITE college west hip hop group for the school dance festival and co-choreographed for Ju Ning Secondary school S24 competition in 2015.

Ashley participated in C.S.T.D 11th Summer School winning a scholarship and also received a Gold medal in the 12th C.S.T.D Summer school. In recent 2016 CSTD Regional Dance Competition, she was part of DPA competition team and won Honourable Mention for the Group Neo Classical item.

Ashley had joined Dancepointe @ Bishan since 2016.
