2020 marks Dancepointe Academy’s 15 years of togetherness, happiness and years of making dreams come true. We started with a few but now we are many, not only in numbers but also in talent and creativity. Our achievements over the past 1.5 decade means a lot to us and words would not be enough to thank everyone involved in our learning and growing years.
We have shaped little minds, sculpted little bodies and fulfilled many dreams, and this is what we will continue to do for the years down the road. To encourage everyone and anyone to take on Dance as an Education, no matter the age or experiences.
We are excited as we continue on this journey of wisdom and knowledge together, hand in hand with all our supporters near and far!
Through blood, sweat and tears, our TeamDPA dancers have braved through our very first Online Dance Competition hosted internally with prestigious judges Dr Park Jae Keun, Artistic director of World Ballet Grand Prix, and Mr Roberto Altamuro, Artistic director of Milano City Ballet and Contemporary Ballet Company.
Words cannot describe how proud we are of all our aspiring dancers and their achievements. Following the online competition, an online award ceremony was held where the dancers were presented with their well deserved prizes.
This would not have been possible without the great help from our DPA Team, Students and Parents whom we would like to give big thanks to. Thank you and we look forward to many more of such events!
Dim the lights, draw the curtains and grace the stage!Join us for our 2020/2021 Performance Development Programme as we embark on this journey to newfound performance skills and more comprehensive techniques.
Through this programme, we hope to:
enhance the dancers’ technical and performance abilities by encouraging them to explore and experience more comprehensive dance techniques and performance-based training in Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz.
provide dancers with performance opportunities on various platforms such as public events or professional stages by invitation and allow for growth as a performer
instill self-discipline, motivation, determination and perseverance in every dancer
develop the dancers’ confidence and help each and every dancer achieve their full potential
The training will focus on body posture, increasing flexibility, gaining strength through conditioning and building movement vocabulary as well as performance quality and showmanship in a holistic and nurturing environment.
PDP dancers will also be given the opportunity to gain stage exposure by performing at external events such as public shows andbe graded for their performance in the Dancepointe Academy Dance Challenge (DPADC) in every August to encourage dancers’ growth as a performer!
