A Contemporary-based Performance and Competition Teams. Open to non Dancepointe Students!

TEAMdpa Programme, a heavily subsidised programme for the selected dancers,  is established to provide a conducive environment where talented young dancers can further develop their Dance Technique and Performance quality. This special training group will be representing Dancepointe Academy for international & local dance competitions and be given the valuable stage opportunities

Fees after subsidy: $10 per hour (u.p $30)

2019 Scholarships will be given to outstanding achievers of 2018 Competitions

Teamdpa 2018 Achievements

Congratulations to the Competition and Performance TEAMdpa 2018 who had competed in the recent Get the Beat Asia Competition and Singapore CSTD Solo Dance Competition! Our dedicated dancers with the creative choreographies by our very own DPA Teachers had earned over 76 awards, including our team of 220 dancers who were all placed in our 12 Group Items!

In June Masterpiece International Pre-Professional Ballet Competition; we have our Soloists from The Apprentice Company and Northeast Junior Apprentice Troupe who gotten into the Finals:

With the aim of allowing dancers to perform, exchange, and compete on a National and International stage, it was indeed a fulfilling year for dTEAM 2018 dancers immersing themselves in the Italy Dance Exchange at Milano City Ballet.

They attended the 5 days’ dance classes (Ballet and Contemporary) and performed at the annual Recital.

DFO & DPA Care and Share Week Showcase 2017

A mega showcase of Jazzfunk, Hip Hop and KPop dances by Dance Factory and 5th AVENUE, featuring our very own selected students, mvAVE KIDZ, mvAVE TEAM, 5th AVENUE and Dance Factory Instructors. Plus, 6 Guest Performance item with DPA Care and Share Program Dance Camp!

It was held in conjunction with DPA Care and Share Programme and together we raised $16,800 for Community Chest! Thank you, all Dancepointe Academy families for all these contributions!

DPA Care and Share Camp Week 2017 With Community Chest Singapore

DPA organised a Care and Share Week from the 28th November to 7th December 2017. In conjunction with this, DPA collaborated with Community Chest Singapore to bring Dance Education to underprivileged families with teens – our Guest Dancers.

A 4-day Performing Arts Enrichment Camp was hosted entailing various dance genres for the Guest dancers and DPA Students with a Showcase at the end of the camp. During this event, DPA had selected 6 outstanding Guest Dancers to be given ONE year of Scholarship Classes with DPA.
2500 DPA Donation Cards were given out during this period to all our DPA families and we had successfully raised $16,800. The proceeds were given to the beneficiaries under Community Chest such as Rotary Family Service Centre and Care Corner for their education funds.

It has been a wild and crazy year with 77 Awards achieved together at the 19th CSTD Regionals Dance Competition @ Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Dance Competition.

This Appreciation Ceremony is meant to acknowledge and and of course, show our appreciation for all the teachers, dancers and most importantly, parents’ support throughout this whole year!

Congratulations on your Apprentice, dTEAM and mvAVE Training 2017 completion! We hope that it had inspired you to work harder and reach higher!

A ballet and jazz based Performance and Competition Teams . Only for Dancepointe Students!

TEAMdpa 2018 Highlights :

  • Get the Beat Singapore (4th – 10th  June 2018)
  • Italy Immersion for Youth Apprentice, Senior Apprentice and dTEAM (14th – 23rd June 2018)
  • Hong Kong Cup Challenge (1st /2nd week July 2018) for entire TEAMdpa
  • CSTD Asia Pacific Dance Competition in Singapore (30th Aug – 3rd Sept 2018) for entire TEAMdpa
The Apprentice Company; A Pre-Professional Ballet Training Programme: 
A non subsidised programme focusing on Classical Ballet And Ballet Repertoires. Specialised training of 3-5 selected students in one class. Students will be selected through the Apprentice Audition and to be exposed to more competition platforms.
These students will be exempted from extra RAD Ballet Coaching classes, and they would require to continue to join in the Apprentice Troupe item and the usual RAD Exams.

Teamdpa 2017 Achievements

Congratulations to the Competition and Performance TEAMdpa 2017 who had competed in the recent 19th CSTD Asia Pacific and Singapore Dance Competitions! Our dedicated dancers with the creative choreographies by our very own DPA Teachers had earned over 77 awards, including our team of 160 dancers who were all placed in our 10 Group Items!

With the aim of allowing dancers to perform, exchange, and compete on a National and International stage, it was indeed a fulfilling year for TEAMdpa dancers immersing themselves in the NZ Dance Exchange at New Zealand School of Dance. They attended the 5 days’ dance classes (Ballet and Contemporary) at NZ school of Dance and Footnote Dance Studio.

TEAMdpa 2018 Highlights :

  • Get the Beat Singapore (4th – 10th  June 2018)
  • Italy Immersion for Youth Apprentice, Senior Apprentice and dTEAM (14th – 23rd June 2018)
  • Hong Kong Cup Challenge (1st /2nd Week July 2018) for entire TEAMdpa
  • CSTD Asia Pacific Dance Competition in Singapore (30th Aug – 3rd Sept 2018) for entire TEAMdpa
The Apprentice Company: A Pre Professional Ballet Training Programme: 
A non subsidised programme focusing on Classical Ballet And Ballet Repertoires. Specialised training of 3-5 selected students in one class. Students will be selected through the Apprentice Audition and to be exposed to more competition platforms.
These students will be exempted from extra RAD Ballet Coaching classes, and they would require to continue to join in the Apprentice Troupe item and the usual RAD Exams.
